Today is the last chance for local artists to submit entries to a summer art exhibition.

The exhibition will take place in the Sir Peter Blake Gallery, a space located in the same building as Dartford Library, and aims to showcase and celebrate the work of the borough’s range of local artists.

Professional and amateur artists alike, the exhibition, which will take place between June 16 and September 15, is open to everyone, and anyone who would like to submit an entry.

For those who would like a chance to display their artwork, come along to Mansion House, Acaia Hall from 10am to 1pm today.

All submissions are free of charge, although if you’re offering your work for sale a fee will aply if your artwork is sold, and the proceeds of the fee will go towards to upkeep of the volunteer-run gallery.

Those who are unable to make the submission day, can also submit artwork via email. Visit www.dartford.gov.uk/by-category/leisure-and-culture2/gallery.
