Dartford-based groups are being given priority for the festival

The Community Stage is looking for local dance and drama groups to perform at this year’s Dartford Festival in the town’s Central Park.

Performance slots are available on Saturday, July 16 and Sunday, July 17, and priority will be given to Dartford-based groups.

Those wishing to apply for the opportunity to take to the stage should email their group’s details, a YouTube clip of the group performing and their preferred performance date to festival@dartford.gov.uk by Friday, May 20.

Successful applicants will be notified by Friday, June 10.

Leader of Dartford council Jeremy Kite said: “It’s great that we’ve been able to bring the Community Stage back to the Festival this year, and we look forward to it showcasing some of Dartford’s great talented groups.”
