He has been sampled by artists such as Mary J Blige and 50 Cent

One of the most respected jazz and R&B artists on the contemporary music scene, Roy Ayres, is heading to Dartford next month.

Dubbed the Godfather of Neo-Soul, Mr Ayres recently recorded with hip-hop artist Talib Kweli (produced by Kanye West) and jazz/R&B singer Will Downing.

His music has been sampled by artists such as Mary J Blige, Erykah Badu, 50 Cent, A Tribe Called Quest, Tupac, and Ice Cube.

Mr Ayres will be performing at The Orchard Theatre on Monday, May 9, with tickets priced at £25.50.
