Choreographer Brian Friedman has penned a reported £200,000 deal to return to the TV talent contest.

It comes after the disastrous dance routines in the last series were roundly panned as lacklustre.

“Brian instinctively knows what works and he was sorely missed. Simon has dug out his cheque book and given him a load of cash and said ‘fix it,’” a source told The Sun newspaper.

“The producers are delighted because they have the top guy back on board.”

The reunion of Cowell and Friedman comes after pop mogul Cowell dumped Friedman.

Friedman was unceremoniously fired from the show, after Cowell had been suitability impressed by a cameo appearance to hire him.
