Burman beaming after Darts hit the goal trail
Dartford boss Tony Burman saluted his side after SIX different players found the net to sink Sutton United on Tuesday evening.
Lee Noble, Adam Green, Danny Harris, Luke Wilkinson, Elliot Bradbrook and Jacob Erskine all scored as the Darts put fourth-placed Sutton to the sword.
And Burman was happy to see the goals spread about around his team.
He said: “We know we’ll create lots of chances during games – and not necessarily for the same player.
“We’re getting different players into the box and five of the goals were really good.
“We responded strongly after they pulled a goal back to make it 2-1 and I’m delighted with the performance.”
After early pressure the hosts opened the scoring with 18 minutes played.
Sutton’s Paul Telfer was easily dispossessed by Noble, who surged forward before producing an impressive lob that left keeper Kevin Scriven stranded in his six-yard box.
Four minutes later, the Darts won a penalty when Harris was brought down by Simon Downer.
Green stepped up and placed his spot-kick into the top right-hand corner.
Sutton fought hard and gave themselves hope on the half-hour mark when Harry Beautyman produced a fabulous header from eight yards to beat an outstretched Louis Wells.
But any hope of a comeback by United was ended when Dartford netted a third three minutes after the break.
Noble stormed down the right wing before crossing for Harris, who guided his diving header inside the right-hand post.
Dartford added a fourth with 70 minutes on the clock.
Green produced a perfect delivery from a free-kick inside the United half and Wilkinson directed a thunderous header across goal into the top left corner.
The goals kept coming and the final 10 minutes saw Dartford produce their fifth and sixth strikes of the night.
Firstly, Bradbrook unleashed a 25-yard screamer which almost burst the net and left Scriven clutching at thin air.
Then Green found Erskine in the box and he completed the rout with a simple finish from six yards.

Goals by Lee Noble, Danny Harris and Luke Wilkinson saw Dartford claim all three points after Havant staged a scare by opening the scoring and then missing a penalty, writes Matthew Poynton.
The Darts fell behind after just eight minutes when Sam Pearce fired home after the ball was pulled back by Joe Dolan.
Things could have been even worse for Dartford with nearly 20 minutes played, when Tom Bonner brought down Scott Jones and Steve Ramsey stepped up to take the spot-kick.
However, the midfielder fluffed the chance by firing his effort over the bar.
The penalty miss got the home crowd going and it wasn’t long before Noble levelled after being set up by Jacob Erskine.
The second half saw a better display from the home side but they could not find a second until the 82nd minute.
Ryan Hayes drilled his delivery across the box where Tony Garrod flicked the ball into the path of Harris, who fired home from a yard out.
Six minutes later, Dartford sealed victory when Wilkinson met a corner by Hayes to head home his first goal for the club.
