Bluewater has unveiled new plans for a multi-million pound re-design and expansion of The Wintergarden, the centre’s fast food and family dining village.
The new look Wintergarden space welcomes two additional freestanding concessions and a 3,900 sq ft restaurant, which will add to the extensive range of existing restaurants enjoyed by guests.
The enhancement of The Wintergarden is the next stage in the evolution of Bluewater, following the opening of The Plaza and Glow, Bluewater in November last year.
Work began on January 23 and it is expected to open to guests in autumn this year.
Robert Goodman, the newly appointed General Manager of Bluewater, said: “The Wintergarden is Bluewater’s front door for many of our guests, and we feel it is now time to give it a new look, by enhancing the offer, the environment and the experience.
“Together with the opening of The Plaza last November with its unique entertainment dining offer, and our previous work to introduce new brands to The Village, Bluewater is once again creating an unrivalled day-out experience for its guests.”
In November last year, The Plaza, located off the Thames Walk adjacent to Glow, Bluewater, opened and is now home to brands such as Wahaca, Brown’s, Jamie’s Italian, Balans, Wagamama and Tapas Revolution.
The creation of The Plaza followed the introduction of a number of new brands to The Village, Bluewater’s premium dining destination situated off the lower Guildhall between John Lewis and House of Fraser. These included the first Côte in the UK in a non-High Street location.
