As a contestant on Alan Sugar’s The Apprentice Melissa Cohen is no stranger to the cut throat world of business.
After making an instant impact on the latest BBC1 show she became the fourth contestant to be shown the finger and “fired” by the multi-millionaire businessman, but has bounced back as managing director of LifeInTile.
On Monday she visited Bluewater shopping centre as part of National Apprenticeship Week to highlight a scheme which has seen 2,600 job seekers find work.
She said: “In today’s climate it is essential to show any prospective employer you are willing to go above and beyond for a dream job.
“Apprenticeship schemes are the perfect opportunity to gain practical experience, which makes the candidate stand out from your average applicant.”
