Officers from the Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate are appealing for witnesses after a cash machine was stolen from a supermarket in Gravesend.

The burglary was reported to Kent Police at 12.30am on Tuesday May 15 after a black Land Rover Discovery was driven through the front of the shop in Istead Rise.

Four men were then reported to have stolen the cash machine from inside the shop before it was put into another vehicle, which was waiting nearby.

Officers attended and a vehicle was pursued into Essex.

The Land Rover Discovery was left at the scene and officers are carrying out enquiries to locate the other vehicle.

At this time no arrests have been made.
