Attempted murder charge for Dartford man after incident in Heath Lane

It follows an incident on Monday

A Dartford man appeared before Medway magistrates on Wednesday charged with attempted murder.

Rasak Osomo, 23 and of Willow Road, was arrested after an incident was reported in Heath Lane on Monday, September 25.

He has since been charged with attempted murder, attempting to cause grievous bodily harm and threatening a person with a blade.

Osomo appeared at Medway Magistrates Court and was remanded in custody for a trial on October 25 at Woolwich Crown Court.

A man was treated for minor injuries at Darent Valley Hospital following the incident, which caused alarm around nearby schools.

A spokesperson from Kent Police said: “Officers are keen to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the incident to call the Kent Police appeal line on 01474 366149 quoting reference number 25-0720.

“They would also like to speak to anyone who may have footage of the incident.”
