There are still plenty of opportunities available to volunteer during the Olympic Games in Gravesend.

The North West Kent Volunteer Centre is looking for Gravesham ambassadors that will take on shifts during the summer.

Responsibilities include torch relay stewards for when the Olympic Relay Torch comes through Gravesend on July 20, information providers for tourists visiting the area, events stewards for the opening and closing ceremony parties in Gravesend and the nine open-air live screenings, and traffic and parking stewards to control the traffic coming through, especially around Ebbsfleet International.

All volunteers will receive branded clothing and have their travel expenses reimbursed.

If interested, contact the Volunteer Centre on 01322 272476 or email volunteer@nwkvolunteers.org.uk.
