Arsonists are suspected to have caused several car fires in Northfleet this morning (February 14).

Firefighters were called to Rayners Court, off High Street, just after 5am after calls of a number of cars ablaze. They included a BMW and a Ford Fiesta van.

The firefighters had extinguished the fires within half an hour and returned back to their station by 6am.

The fire is under investigation.
