Car smash in Rolvenden claims life of 37-year-old from Swanscombe

Police appealing for witnesses to the two-car crash on Monday evening

A 37-year-old from Swanscombe has died following a fatal smash near Cranbrook yesterday (Monday) evening.

The crash occured on the A28 Hastings Road in Rolvenden, close to the junction with Wassall Lane, at around 5.25pm.

The victim was driving a green Ford Fiesta when it struck a black Ford Focus.

Five people in the Focus suffered minor injuries as a result of the collision.

Anyone who witnessed the crash or who saw either vehicle beforehand is urged to call the police’s serious collision investigation unit on 01622 798538 quoting reference 198/17, or email sciu.td@kent.pnn.police.uk.
