A cannabis factory worth thousands of pounds has been discovered in a Dartford house.
There were 30 cannabis plants being grown in the house in Alamein Gardens in Stone when police raided the property on Monday June 25.
Upon entry they found a bedroom was being used as a hydroponics factory.
The cannabis plants being grown had an estimated street value of approximately £10,000 - £12,000.
Police investigated the house after a tip-off from Dartford council’s housing association.
Chief inspector Roscoe Walford said: “This was an excellent piece of joint work with our officers and council representatives.
“We have removed a substantial amount of drugs which would have undoubtedly ended up on the streets of Dartford.”
Police put out a warning to residents to keep an eye out for signs of possible illegal activity which include windows permanently shut from the inside, removal of large quantities of black bags, a pungent smell, frequent visits to the property and sometimes a vent coming out of the roof tiles.
Armed robbers threatened a shopkeeper with a knife this morning at around 9.20am at Tasnim General Store in Bath Street.
