Darent Valley Hospital workers accused of having sex on their breaks
Darent Valley Hospital staff have been accused of romping during breaks in their cars in Powell Avenue.
Police have said they are investigating further and the Dartford neighbourhood watch team will work to ensure anyone breaking the law is dealt with appropriately.
Workers started parking in the road - just three minutes away - because of over-crowding in the main car park.
A hospital spokesman says it is hard for the trust bosses to punish workers until charges have been brought to their attention.
“The hospital is not able to comment because there has been no enquiry at the hospital, no charge has been made and there is no evidence which the hospital can act on,” he said.
Residents made the allegations to police.
Commenting on the situation, Dartford Council leader Jeremy Kite said: “My sympathies are entirely with the residents. The hospital needs to take the issue of staff parking more seriously.”
“In conversations I’ve had there seems to be a difference of opinion but in my view the issue lies with the hospital.”
Currently, officers investigating the issue have interviewed one man who denied any wrongdoing and therefore dropped any charges through lack of evidence.
