Two 15-year-old boys have been charged with robbery after a Longfield jewellers was held-up on July 3.

The teenagers from London have also been charged with possession of a firearm with intent to commit an offence during the incident at a family run Bourne & Kemp Jewellers in Station Road.

The incident happened at 5:15pm before the boys attempted to escape from the scene.

They were arrested nearby after being pursued by a police helicopter, firearm officers and police dogs.

They appeared at Medway Magistrates’ Court today (July 5) and were remanded in custody.

Both boys are due to appear at Dartford Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday (July 10).
