Officers are appealing for witnesses to a burglary in Dartford.

On October 15 a house in Elm Road was reported to have been broken into between 6.20pm and 7.14pm.

Police believe four people forced their way into the house via the front door before stealing a quantity of jewellery.

Once inside the house the burglars searched in the bedrooms and kitchen before leaving the property via the back door.

Shortly after the incident four people, believed to be three men and one woman, were seen walking briskly away from the house.

They were described as average build and height and wearing hooded tops.

The woman did not have her hooded top pulled up and is believed to have long hair.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call Kent Police appeals line for Dartford on 01474 366 149 quoting crime reference XY/066355/18.

Alternatively you can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers in Kent anonymously on 0800 555 111.
