The Parkinson’s UK team of runners aims to raise a combined total of £150,000

Two Dartford women have raised over £1000 for Parkinson’s UK when they ran the Great North Run last Sunday.

Sarah Crossman, 48, and Sharon, 43, were part of The Parkinson’s UK team of runners aiming to raise a total of £150,000.

Funds raised by the runners will support the work of the charity to help fund research to transform the lives living with the condition. Despite huge scientific progress, there have been no major advances in Parkinson’s treatments in the last decade.

Paul Jackson of Parkinson’s UK, said: “I would like to thank Sarah and Sharon for running for research into Parkinson’s and I hope their experience will inspire others to sign up to the run next year.”
