Commuters using the high speed service face delays and cancellations this morning due to urgent track repairs between Ebbsfleet and Stratford Intenational.

Southeastern, which operates the route, has said that the work is taking place in one tunnel, meaning trains can only use one line to travel in either direction.

Trains may be held at either side of the tunnel, which passes under the Thames, while others pass in the opposite direction.

High speed services from Faversham to London will be terminated at either Rochester, Gravesend or Ebbsfleet International, while others will be making additional stops at Ebbsfleet.

Network Rail are on site and disruption is expected to continue until around 2pm.

Passengers are advised to travel on alternative routes to London Victoria , while tickets are being accepted on the Tube to allow commuters to complete their journeys at no extra cost.
