A dog found tied to a bench in Northfleet with its tail savagely cut off is now fully recovered and ready to be rehomed.

The Staffordshire cross, nicknamed Stumpy, was taken in by Gravesham council’s stray dog service and underwent surgery to close the wound after someone amputated the dog’s tail without any proper medical care.

Cllr John Burden said: “Whoever perpetrated this horrible injury deserves to be caught and prosecuted.

“The animal was in distress and was badly injured by this apparently inept attempt at amputation.”

According to the council, Stumpy is doing well after being discovered on Monday July 30.

Having a brand new kitchen is something that lots of people want but can only dream of. Sadly keeping up to date and making our living spaces as nice as they can be is a costly and incredibly stressful business. Even a fresh coat of paint makes all the difference but isn’t easy or quick.

Who wouldn’t love the chance to go on a shopping spree. Imagine being able to walk into a shop and choose whatever your heart desires without having to worry about how much it costs.
