Fire breaks out inside ground-floor flat in Gravesend

Crews were called to the scene last night

Firefighters were called into action on Tuesday night after a fire broke out inside a Gravesend flat.

The blaze had started inside a kitchen of a ground-floor flat in The Grove, at around 8.40pm.

Upon arrival, crews put out the flames and treated the occupant, who was suffering from the effects of breathing in smoke.

By 9.30pm, the blaze had been extinguished and crews had left the scene.
