Displays are starting from November 3 this year

The skies above Dartford, Gravesham and Swanley will be lit up next month as towns across north west Kent celebrate Guy Fawkes night.

Firework displays, bonfires and fun fairs will all be held as part of the annual celebrations, but with November 5 just a few weeks away, it’s time to decide which display you’ll be headed to.

The firework nights around north west Kent are:

Where: St Mary the Virgin, Church Lane, Chalk, Gravesham, DA12 2NL.

Date: November 4.

Time: Gates open at 5pm, bonfire at 6.30pm and fireworks to follow shortly after.

What: Food, tea and coffee will be available at the Chalk church fireworks event, parking at Gravesend Crematorium nearby.

Entry prices: Children £2, adults £4.

Tickets: At the gate.


Where: Central Park, Dartford, DA1 1EU.

Date: November 4.

Time: Gates open at 5pm, bonfire at 7.15pm and fireworks at 8pm.

What: Featuring its own bonfire and fun fair, Dartford’s Central Park is hosting its own Bonfire Night on Saturday, November 4.

Entry prices: Children £4, adults £6, or book in advance for £3 children’s tickets and £5 for adults.

Tickets: At the gate.


Where: Riverside Leisure Area, Community Place, Gravesend, BR3 3SR.

Date: November 3.

Time: Display starts at 8pm

What: Watch fireworks shoot above the Thames on Gravesend’s riverside, which will also feature a fun fair 5pm to 10pm and a disco from 7pm.

Entry prices: Free.

Tickets: Free.


Where: Royal British Legion, London Road, Greenhithe, DA9 9EJ.

Date: November 3.

Time: Gates at 6.30pm, fireworks from 7pm

What: Fireworks, a bar and a barbecue will all be on offer along with glow toys for visitors. Donations for the RBL are welcome.

Entry prices: Free.

Tickets: Free.


Where: Hextable Park, Emersons Avenue, Hextable, BR8 7WS.

Date: November 3.

Time: Gates at 7pm, display at 7.30pm

What: New Town Tigers FC will be selling food and soft drinks the pavilion and light ups will also be available for sale.

Entry prices: Free.

Tickets: Free.


Where: Swanley Recreation Ground, St Mary’s Road, Swanley, BR8 7BU.

Date: November 6.

Time: Gates open at 5pm, display at 7.30pm.

What: Enter your own Guy Fawkes creation for a competition to win £25 at the event, which will also feature children’s rides, live music, a hog roast and a bonfire.

Entry prices: Free.

Tickets: Free.
