In many ways Jess Robinson is the complete opposite of her character Little Voice. Jess is outgoing, vivacious and loud while Little Voice, or LV, is a recluse and painfully shy.

But Jess easily morphs into LV and then from LV into the big-name acts that the musical The Rise and Fall of Little Voice showcases – Marilyn, Edith, Judy, Shirley.

Jess is now a firm favourite on television impressions shows, performing as Cheryl Cole, Hillary Clinton, Amy Winehouse and Madonna.

Her favourite? “It changes from week to week,” she says. “It’s Julie Andrews right now.”

LV is the perfect role for her and she is even more excited about working with Jim Cartwright who wrote the play and is now directing the Olivier award-winning show.

She said: “It’s great to be working with him because I have always loved the show. When I first performed Little Voice seven years ago for a small production in Hereford I wished Jim would come to see it and now he’s directing us.”

Jess performs with Beverly Callard, Ray Quinn and Joe McGann in the Rise and Fall of Little Voice at the Orchard Theatre, Dartford from September 17-22.

Tickets start at £23. Visit www.orchardtheatre.co.uk or call 01322 220000.

Having a brand new kitchen is something that lots of people want but can only dream of. Sadly keeping up to date and making our living spaces as nice as they can be is a costly and incredibly stressful business. Even a fresh coat of paint makes all the difference but isn’t easy or quick.

Who wouldn’t love the chance to go on a shopping spree. Imagine being able to walk into a shop and choose whatever your heart desires without having to worry about how much it costs.
