Officers investigating an assault of a woman in a vehicle travelling between Bexley and Gravesend are appealing for drivers with dashcam footage.

The woman was reported to have been travelling in a vehicle on the A2 when she was assaulted, between 1.10pm and 1.40pm yesterday (Tuesday, March 6).

Officers attended the area and arrested 31-year-old Brendan Scott, who has since been charged with assault, dangerous driving and using a motor vehicle without a third party insurance.

Scott, of St Patrick’s Gardens in Gravesend, appeared at Medway Magistrates’ Court on March 7, where he was remanded in custody and is due to appear before Woolwich Crown Court on April 4.

Kent Police would like to hear from any drivers who may have seen the incident, which was reported to have involved a silver/grey Audi A6 Quattro estate, and asks that anyone with information or dashcam footage calls Detective Constable Amy Burrows on 01474 366541 quoting crime reference XY/012617/18.
