The league tables have been published this morning - rating each on their GCSE league results

Once again, Kent’s grammar schools dominate the top of the GCSE league tables - but it is at the bottom of the list which sparks the most concern.

While Folkestone School for Girls and Dartford Grammar both secured a 100 per cent pass rate for students securing five GCSEs between A*-C including maths and English, many struggled to hit the government’s 40 per cent benchmark.

And that leaves them vulnerable to intervention from the authorities.

The Marlowe Academy in Ramsgate saw just a six per cent pass rate - but with years of poor results and dwindling student numbers, it closed at the end of the last school year and was re-opened under the guidance of nearby Ellington and Hereson as the Royal Harbour Academy.

The tables, from left to right show:

School name, number of pupils eligible for GCSE and equivalent qualifications, proportion securing five or more A*-C grades, rank within its local authority, total average points per pupil, percentage achieving the English Baccalaureate.

Having a brand new kitchen is something that lots of people want but can only dream of. Sadly keeping up to date and making our living spaces as nice as they can be is a costly and incredibly stressful business. Even a fresh coat of paint makes all the difference but isn’t easy or quick.

Who wouldn’t love the chance to go on a shopping spree. Imagine being able to walk into a shop and choose whatever your heart desires without having to worry about how much it costs.
