Laundrette goes up in smoke as blaze rips through ground floor of three-storey property

Fire damages property in Milton Road, Gravesend

Fire crews tackled a blaze at a laundrette in Gravesend this morning (Tuesday).

Three fire engines and crews wearing breathing apparatus, tackled the fire on the ground floor of the three-storey property in Milton Road.

Roads surrounding the property were closed while crews brought the flames under control.

Crews were called just after 6.50am this morning and left the scene around two hours later.

There were no reported injuries.

An investigation has been launched into the cause of the fire.
