Motorcyclist, 49, from Folkestone killed in M20 horror smash

A motorcylist from the Folkestone area has died following a horror crash on the M20 on Friday morning.
Officers were called to the scene of the smash, which involved the bike and a lorry, near junction 2 on the coastbound carriageway at around 6am.
The motorcyclist, 49, died at the scene.
Police, Kent Fire and Rescue Service and the South East Coast Ambulance Service all attended the incident and the coast bound carriageway of the M20 motorway was closed between junction 1 for the M25 and junction 3 for the M26 for almost eight hours.
Officers are now appealing to any witnesses they have not yet spoken to, to contact them.
Sergeant Hannah Brown said: “We would also like to speak to anyone who may have seen a black motorcycle or a lorry carrying a blue trailer in the moments leading up to it.
“If you have any information which may assist our enquiries please don’t hesitate to get in touch.”

A second incident involving two further vehicles happened at the same location shortly after the collision involving the motorcyclist and the lorry.
This involved two vehicles and led to three people being taken to hospital. None of the injuries were life threatening.
