Detectives are appealing for witnesses and information after a man was seriously assaulted in Gravesend.

The police have issued CCTV images of two young men who may be able to assist them with their investigation.

The incident took place on New Road, at about 12.45am on Sunday, November 12, 2017.

A 28-year-old man was walking with his girlfriend when they became involved in an altercation with a group of young people.

The man was then reportedly punched to the floor and kicked in the head.

Anyone who recognises the people in the CCTV images is urged to call the appeal line on 01474 366149 quoting reference XY/59375.17.

Alternatively, witnesses can call Kent Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
