Police have confirmed a motorcyclist was killed in a horror crash with a lorry and a van near the Dartford Crossing on Thursday.

Chiefs say a blue Honda motorbike collided with a white lorry and a white van at around 2.50pm in a smash which closed a section of the M25 and the Essex-bound carriageway of the A282 for most of the afternoon and throughout the evening rush hour.

Officers and the South East Coast Ambulance Service attended the scene but the motorcyclist, a man aged in his 30s from the Chelmsford area, was pronounced dead at the scene.

His next of kin have been informed.

Officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit are investigating the incident and are appealing for any witnesses who may have seen the vehicles beforehand, to get in contact.

Witnesses can call the appeal line on 01622 798538 quoting DJ/133/17.

Alternatively they can email sciu.td@kent.pnn.police.uk.

Having a brand new kitchen is something that lots of people want but can only dream of. Sadly keeping up to date and making our living spaces as nice as they can be is a costly and incredibly stressful business. Even a fresh coat of paint makes all the difference but isn’t easy or quick.

Who wouldn’t love the chance to go on a shopping spree. Imagine being able to walk into a shop and choose whatever your heart desires without having to worry about how much it costs.
