Gravesham residents will soon receive a form asking them to check whether the information that appears on the electoral register about their address is correct.

The council is asking residents to look out for the form in the post and to make sure that they respond as soon as possible.

The aim of the form is to make sure that the electoral register is up to date and identify residents who are not registered, so that they can be encouraged to do so.

David Hughes, chief executive and electoral registration officer at Gravesham, said: “If you have changed address in the last year, it’s more likely that you will need to register at your new address. If this is the case, I would urge you to look out for the form and check it as soon as it arrives.”

Residents who have any questions can contact the electoral registration team by going to www.gravesham.gov.uk/vote.
