Schoolgirl trapped underneath bus in Gravesend collision

A young girl was left trapped under a bus after a being knocked down on her way to school in Gravesend this morning.

The 12-year-old girl, believed to attend a local school, hit in Rochester Road just after 8am.

Police and firefighters attended the scene, where airbags were used to free the schoolgirl before she was taken to King’s College Hospital, in Denmark Hill, with serious injuries.

Milton Road and East Milton Road are closed at the junction with Rochester Road while police investigate the scene.
