A distinctive horse box that had been stolen from a farm in Luddesdown alongside two red postboxes has been found dumped on land near Darenth Wood Road in Dartford.

The trailer, which is blue with pink flowers, was allegedly taken between 6pm and 10pm on Sunday, September 4.

It was later found alongside two red boxes sawn off from their wood posts by Kent Police’s Rural Task Force during a routine patrol on land near Darenth Wood Road, Dartford on Tuesday, September 13.

PC Preston Frost of the Rural Task Force said: “We are committed to building strong relationships with local farmers and landowners, and encourage them to report any offences to us.

“Would-be offenders should remember that we take crimes committed in rural areas just as seriously as those in town centres and elsewhere, and that we will do everything in our power to secure a positive outcome for victims.”

Enquiries into the finds are ongoing and no arrests have been made.
