The sun may still be refusing to show its face but that put no stop to Dartford Festival bringing much-needed summer spirit to the crowds.

The two-day event featured an all-star line-up including Britain’s Got Talent band Loveable Rogues, and Ray Quinn, who made his name on TV’s The X Factor.

Thousands of people braved the elements to enjoy one of the South East’s largest free festivals.

Alongside the headline acts were Chas & His Band – Chas Hodges, who found fame as one half of Chas & Dave – and tribute bands the Counterfeit Beatles and The Beached Boys.

A funfair, beer tent, food stalls and displays also kept the crowds happy and Kent Chilli Farm was awarded the “best stall” prize by Dartford Mayor Ann Allen.

Festival goers took to Twitter to share their experiences.
