Swanley road rage killer Kenneth Noye has announced he is launching his latest bid to have his sentence reduced.

The 65-year-old stabbed 21-year-old Stephen Cameron at the M25 slip-road in 1996.

He was jailed for life four years later having admitted the crime but pleading self-defence.

He fled to Spain after the killing but Mr Cameron’s girlfriend Danielle Cable, who witnessed the murder, was flown out to help identify him and he was extradited in 1998.

Noye lost appeals against reducing his conviction in 2001 and 2011 but he is now seeking the chance to renew his challenge to the 16-year minimum term he was handed at the Old Bailey 13 years ago.

The case will be heard at the Court of Appeal by the Lord Chief Justice Lord Judge, Mr Justice Mackay and Mr Justice Sweeney.
