Traffic expected around Dartford following earlier collision

An accident near the QE2 bridge this morning involving two lorries and a car transporter has caused heavy traffic in the surrounding areas.

The collision took place coming away from the Dartford Crossing at around 11am today (Tuesday, March 13).

The A282 Darenth Interchange was closed southbound, and a diversion was put in place.

There are currently severe delays on the A282 (M25) clockwise back to J29.

Motorists are advised to expect delays and, where possible, consider using an alternate route.

TRecovery is now completed of the three vehicles involved in the incident, however traffic is expected to continue.

At present, no serious injuries have been reported.
