Witness appeal as pensioner suffers life-threatening injuries in Northfleet crash

The incident happened just before midday on Monday

A pensioner in his 70s was taken to a London hospital yesterday after a serious crash in Northfleet.

Police are now appealing for witnesses to the incident, which happened at around 11.45am.

The pensioner’s blue mobility scooter collided with a black Volkswagen Touareg, leaving him with life-threatening injuries.

Anyone who witnessed the incident along Thames Way, near the junction with Dover Road and Vale Road, is asked to call police.
