London-born rower Louisa Reeve has got her eyes on a medal in the final of the women’s eight.

The British crew scraped through the repechage in fourth place at Eton Dorney this morning after a disappointing third place finish in Monday’s heat.

But the Leander Club oarswomen thinks they can put their lacklustre performances behind them when they go for glory in Wednesday’s final.

“We’ve been doing very well in training,” said the 28-year-old.

“If we row in the final like we do in training, it’s there for the taking”.

Reeve, who represented Great Britain in the women’s pair at the 2008 Beijing Olympics, is one of two Londoners in the Team GB crew, together with cox Caroline O’Connor from Ealing.

They will line up against USA, Canada, Netherlands, Romania and Australia in the final.
