Letitia Dean is glad to be playing feisty Sharon Tate in ‘EastEnders’ with co-star Steve McFadden again.

The actress said: “I love the fact Sharon and Phil have such a great history. Whatever age the viewer is, they pick up on it. Even if nothing happens, it’s nice to have that nostalgia.”

The actress left the show in 2006 after a string of dramatic storylines - including the resurrection of her father Den - and she returned earlier this month to support Phil after his son Ben finally handed himself into police.

She admits that despite their turbulent history - which saw them have an affair while she was married to his brother Grant - they will always be attracted to each other.

She said: “There’s always going to be a Phil in Sharon’s life. That frisson has always been there ... he’s so capable and he’s dangerous too.

“When you think about it, all her men have been pretty dangerous.”
