She is the frontrunner to play lead female character Anastasia Steele in the upcoming movie adaptation of the best-selling book.

The 22-year-old – who starred as Hermione Granger in the Harry Potter franchise - is reportedly in talks about portraying the female protagonist in the film based on EL James’ erotic novel.

The Vampire Diaries hunk Ian Somerhalder is favourite to play male protagonist Christian Grey who introduces Anastasia to the world of bondage and kinky sex.

James has chosen The Social Network producers Mike De Luca and Dana Brunetti to cast the roles of the charismatic billionaire and the young college student, but no stars have officially been cast.
