The former soap star has reportedly signed up for the Channel 5 reality show as he’s such a big fan of the programme.

Kemp - who shot to fame in 80s band Spandau Ballet - praised the last series earlier this year saying: “I’m glued to it.”

The 50-year-old joined EastEnders in 1998 and left four years later.

He will be joined in the Big Brother house by another former EasEnders star, Cheryl Ferguson.

Other contestants include former Coronation Street star Julie Goodyear, Simon Cowell’s former girlfriend Jasmine Lennard, comedian Julian Clary, glamour model Rhian Sugden and rapper MC Harvey.

The show is scheduled to air later this month.
