Ticketed spectators to the Olympic Park at Stratford has passed the two million mark since the Games began.

Olympic fever also continues to rise around the country, with venues and big screens attracting huge crowds as people cheer on the athletes.

The London 2012 Live Sites alone have seen 2.7 million people attend, with the busiest day Super Saturday when Team GB struck gold three times in the athletics arena-

An estimated 160,000 spectators also took to the streets of central London to witness Olympic history as Alistair Brownlee became the first British athlete to win gold in the Men’s Triathlon event on Tuesday with 120,000 spectators for the Women’s Marathon.

LOCOG Chair, Seb Coe described the passion and spirit of the British public as outstanding. “The huge crowds have contributed to making the atmosphere at events in both the Olympic Park and venues around the country incredible.”
