London-born pop starlet Rita Ora is set to return to her roots by playing at a political rally in Kosovo.
Twenty two-year-old Ora has been invited by the country’s president to help celebrate 100 years of Albanian independence.
Ora fled with her family to Britain when sectarian slaughter broke out in the Balkan region in the early 1990s.
She said: “I have been invited by the president of Kosovo to go back on November 28 to celebrate the 100 years independence so I may do a few acoustic songs for them as a surprise.”
The ‘How We Do (Party)’ star revealed she cannot wait to feast on spinach pie – a national favourite dish.
She said: “I’m not a very good cook, but my mum makes the best spinach pie. I can make it with my mum and that’s my favourite one.
“It doesn’t sound that exciting, but it’s really good. It takes about three hours to make, with all the pastry and layers.”
Known to millions as Madge Bishop of cult Ozzy soap Neighbours, actress Anne Charleston joins an all-star cast in bittersweet comedy Five Blue Haired Ladies Sitting on a Green Park Bench, playing at the Orchard next week.
