Clockwise (southbound) traffic is currently being diverted through one of the tunnels on the opposite carriageway resulting in long delays in both directions in this area.

Kent Police said the QEII Bridge, which links the M25 between Essex and Kent, would be closed from 10pm last night (Wednesday) until at least Thursday morning’s peak period but this was extended due to the continuing strong winds.

The bridge had to be closed for several hours on Tuesday due to the high winds which caused widespread disruption across Kent.
