X Factor judges are swept off their feet by singing chimney sweep Kye Sones, tonight (Saturday).
The 30-year-old stuns the panel at the London auditions with his version of Rita Ora’s hit; RIP.
A brave move considering Rita is one of judges sizing up Kye.
But the move pays off from the cleaner - who has plyed his trade in tiny venues for a decade.
Ora tells him: “You made RIP sound so cool man! Can I tell you something? You’re a superstar!”
Fellow panellist Louis Walsh trowels on the praise too: “You were born to sing, you weren’t born to clean chimneys. We’re looking for the X Factor and I think we found the X Factor in you.”
On tonight’s peak-time show, Sones reveals he has plenty of songs he penned himself, but is happy to do covers in order to get noticed.
»Long-awaited work on Dartford railway station is set to begin.
