She is to unveil her hotly anticipated new work at Castle Galleries

A critically acclaimed artist will make a guest appearance at a local gallery next month to unveil a newly curated exhibition of her work.

Caroline Shotton, one of the UK’s leading contemporary artists, will reveal her much anticipated new works at Castle Galleries in Dartford’s Bluewater Shopping Centre.

Ms Shotton’s bovine art has helped to redefine the parameters of modern day portraiture and shed a new light on our appreciation of art and the role it plays in our day-to-day lives.

“I’ve always created work that stems from personal experience, yet allows others to add their own narrative,” she said.

“My children are probably my biggest source of inspiration.

“I wanted to paint something happy for my child’s bedroom wall and a character that would make him smile and keep him company.

“This led to a colourful composition featuring a quirky cow and the rest is history!”

Ms Shotton will be presenting her new collection at Castle Galleries, Bluewater, Upper Rose Gallery, Bluewater Shopping Centre on Saturday, July 2.

The exhibition of her art will then be available to view for a further week.
