The dancer will be returning to the town in the summer

Italian beauty Giovanni Pernice danced with two lucky Gravesham ladies this week.

The Strictly Come Dancing star visited Gravesend ahead of his show, Il Ballo E Vita’s performance at the Woodville Theatre in July.

Whilst visiting the town yesterday (Tuesday) he danced with competition winner Julie Sherwood, and the mayor of Gravesham, Greta Goatley.

Speaking during his visit, the dancer said either lady would make a fine Strictly partner, adding: “We could 100 per cent win Strictly, as long as all the people around Gravesend vote for us!”

Aside from strutting his stuff, the Sicilian was in town to promote his upcoming show, on a tour of the country’s towns.

He said: “I love this place, I’m looking forward to coming back.

“I love touring, I’ve been to so many big theatres around the country, for me going to some of the smaller places, it’s even more interesting.”

“I’m really excited to bring my show to Gravesend, we’re trying to tell a story rather than just dancing, it’s basically dance-acting to tell the story of a Sicilian man falling in love.”
