Bromley drama students performed Central High for hundreds

A SHOW of the High School Musical ilk was performed to rapturous audiences by students at Centre Stage Theatre Academy.

Aspiring actors from Gravesend and Bromley attracted over 450 people to see their production of Central High, a musical written by former EastEnders actor Frankie Fitzgerald, the school’s founder. The show held at the Woodville Halls, Gravesend, had a special guest on one night in the form of John Altman, who played Nasty Nick in EastEnders.

Fitzgerald, 25, said: “He came backstage to meet the kids he wished them luck, had some pictures taken and gave autographs to the students who were over the moon.”

“The show was such a success that we have been invited back in October for our next showcase.”

Centre Stage is due to introduce new classes in Gravesend after the Easter holidays for children aged 4– 7. See centrestagetheatreacademy.com or call 07814573288 to get involved.
