Rehearsal for Murder is coming to Dartford this year
Eastenders star Alex Ferns will take to the stage in Dartford this year in Rehearsal for Murder, a whodunnit by the creators of Murder She Wrote and Columbo.
Best known as ‘Britain’s most-hated soap villain’ Trevor Horn, Mr Ferns will perform alongside Footballers Wives star Susie Amy, and Gary Mavers, who has appeared in Emmerdale and Peak Practice.
The murder mystery was penned by award-winning writing team Richard Levinson and William Link, who created the classic Seventies TV series.
Playwright Alex Dennison is left heartbroken when his fiancee and leading lady Monica Welles is found dead from an apparent suicide after the opening night of her stage debut.
On the anniversary of that night, he assembles the same cast and crew in the same theatre for a reading of his new play.
As the night progresses, the play becomes uncannily similar to actual events, and it becomes clear that Alex is plotting to ucover the identity of the person he believes killed Monica.
The performance is being staged by the Agatha Christie Theatre Company.
Rehearsal for Murder will run from September 19 to September 24 at The Orchard Theatre.
