The search is on for panto babes to join a cast of Sleeping Beauty.

Youngsters from Gravesend and nearby areas who have extra special star quality are being encouraged to come along to the Woodville Halls and audition for the Christmas pantomime.

Children between the ages of eight and 16 are being invited to show off their fancy footwork and audition at the Woodville Halls, on Saturday September 3, at 9.45am.

Steve Boden, producer of the show from Imagine Theatre, said: “Auditioning youngsters for the panto is always a lot of fun but really tough too as we see so much talent. We are looking for kids that are great dancers, confident and also have that extra little bit of sparkle.

“This is Imagine’s first year producing the pantomime at the Woodville and we’re really exicted to see the standard of talent in Gravesend. We’ve been told it’s really high and that we’ll have a tough job on our hands choosing.”

Children auditioning are advised to wear comfortable shoes and clothes to dance in. More information regarding the auditions can be found on the Imagine Theatre website at:

The pantomime runs from Saturday 10 December 2011 until Sunday 1 January 2012.
