High School Musical wows Dartford audience

A cast of more than 100 teenagers saw the culmination of two weeks work as they staged the Summer Youth Project production of High School Musical at the Orchard Theatre.
Following spring auditions, 107 youngsters were cast in roles ranging from the leads to working with the theatre’s professional production team and spent a fortnight perfecting their work before the performance last Friday.
This is the second year the Dartford venue has run a the project, offering the opportunity for youngsters to develop skills and perform on stage.
Theatre Director Andy Hill said: “This years project was another roaring success and I would like to express my sincere thanks to all the local performers, technicians and their families who have worked extremely hard to produce what resulted in an absolutely brilliant production.”
