Almost 60 dancers from the prestigious Amelia Appleby School of Performing Arts are expected to perform at Euro Disney in Paris on Thursday.
The Meopham and Maidstone based team, aged six to 18, will perform a 20-minute showcase of dance routines at The Lion King Theatre in the Disney Theme Park.
They will be cheered on by 180 parents, relatives and friends who have travelled to France for the three-day trip.
Principal Amelia Appleby said: “We were asked to audition for Euro Disney following the performance of our amazing showcase of Now or Never‟ from “High School Musical 3” at The Royal Albert Hall last year. Euro Disney management watched our showcase DVD and accepted us last September.”
Opened in 1995, the school claims to be the only of its kind, where pupils aged from two-and-half-years to adults, can properly train in all the arts for fun or in pursue of a career. Classes range from classical ballet to musical theatre, cheerleading and street hip hop to Shakespeare and acting.
Miss Appleby added: “We wish them all the luck in the world for this amazing, once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.”
